Memorial Day Cruise

The 2019 DIYC cruising program began with a cruise to
Hamburg Cove for the Memorial Day Weekend.
This was definitely not the most attended Memorial Day
cruise, but it was probably the best weather we have had
in years.
Bob and I, with the Volpes were on a mooring Friday.
There were white caps in the cove and maybe two other
boats. Saturday was a beautiful day and brought Lois
Glazer’s Crazy Cakes and her fun crew, Dave and Kathy
Nauber and Dave and Maria Gilmore. We had a nice
cocktail party on our boat with great appetizers and of
course, Jell-O shots. Sunday was an even more beautiful
day and the Naubers, Gilmores, Volpes, and Bob and I
took our annual hike on Cove Road.
Kim and Tina joined the Naubers and Bob picked up Pete
and Ruth Connal and Al and Colette Skinner at the dock
to join the party. Brian, Lauren and Ben Weinstein and
some of Ben’s friends also joined for the cocktail part
of the carry in supper. Everyone brought dinner
contributions and the food was wonderful with of course,
Jell-O shots!!
Thank you Dave Gilmore for taking pictures. It was
definitely a fun and successful cruise, and the first
club cruise of the season.
